The Glades Local Showcase
launched April 2021
The Local Showcase is a platform to promote and celebrate independent artists and makers from Bromley and the South East.
By making use of otherwise empty shop units we have created spaces to display the work of amazingly talented creatives, in a lock-down-resistant window-shopping show!
The shop units are kept locked and lit, and visitors are encouraged to scan QR codes to buy direct from the makers’ online stores. The Glades and Local Showcase don’t charge fees or take commission from any sales.
The Showcase is a changing exhibition, and we aim to rotate exhibitors every month or so! The project has launched with work from the amazingly talented Arizona Smith, Bronze Age, Lauren Doughty, Pea & Me, Spa Galaxy and woodsywerks.
I have overseen and curated this project, and created its identity and branding.
